Liu Wen is EVERYWHERE!! She has (so far) walked in more runway shows in New York, London & Milan than any other Asian models this season and she has at least five ad campaigns out this Spring -- ck one, DKNY Jeans, Benetton, Diane von Furstenberg and Barney's New York.
Here is a new editorial from China Vogue, March 2009. I love the first and third photos and if Liu Wen was in only two shots in a multi-model editorial, I would have loved everything about it. But using the same model, the same set, the same lighting, the same facial expression and the same pose, the whole thing just looked repetitious and utterly boring.
That said, Liu Wen is the NEW FACE of China so expect to see her in EVERY ISSUE of China Vogue from now on until a new girl comes along. China Vogue should be credited for its diversity, i.e. using Asian mode ls from different countries (Koreans, Japanese, Asian-American, etc.) but creativity isn't the magazine's strongest asset.
